Titrations

metrohm
The Metrohm system installed in the lab. We have a second one for the field work
We measure Total Alkalinity (TA) and oxygen by classical titrations, using an automated metrohm system. TA titration (on 0.7µM filtrated water) is perfomed by HCl (0.1N) additions while measuring the pH. Oxygen titrations are performed with the Winkler method by thiosulfate additions while measuring the Redox Potential.

Gran
Example of a TA titration on 100mL of estuarine water. The Equivalent point is calculated by linearizing the Gran function between pH 4 and 3.
