Permanent members of EPOC are title-holding civil servants for which recruitment is made by way of competition through one of three associated bodies (CNRS,d University Bordeaux 1 and EPHE). At the same time, there are also recruitment opportunities for fixed-term contractual employees, and possibilities for the hosting of employees on leave from other institutions (French or overseas).
